We decided to also\u00a0test and\u00a0install OnSystem Logic\u2019s\u00a0(OSL)\u00a0Defender\u00a0next to our existing AV\u00a0about 3 months ago. Within\u00a0one\u00a0week of this implementation, OSL\u00a0Defender discovered a\u00a0previously unseen behavior in one of our machine\u2019s Outlook processes.\u00a0OSL\u00a0Defender\u00a0immediately shut down\u00a0the affected Outlook\u00a0process.\u00a0What\u00a0OSL\u00a0discovered was a previously unknown (0-day)\u00a0vulnerability in Outlook\u2019s\u00a0dynamic\u00a0memory\u00a0usage, which\u00a0OSL\u00a0reported to\u00a0Microsoft\u00a0for\u00a0remediation. Microsoft acknowledged the problem, indicated they would be issuing a patch to correct it and asked OSL not to externally publish the details of the problem. The end result of this discovery\u00a0resulted in the prevention of\u00a0the malware from executing and completely localized the issue without any data loss or malware penetration.<\/p>\n

We highly recommend OnSystem Defender<\/a> for any enterprise wishing to maintain the highest level of security for their enterprise. We have since agreed to introduce the software to our Government clients and become a distributor for OSL based on their stellar performance in our shop.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0Michael Heffner, Senior Vice President for Business Development and CTO, \u201cOnSystem Defender provides\u00a0friction-free endpoint protection that\u00a0other solutions\u00a0are not designed to\u00a0achieve. Other\u00a0antivirus\u00a0tools focus on reactive measures, all of which can be bypassed or disabled by\u00a0modern\u00a0malware.\u00a0OnSystem Defender\u00a0provides a new level of\u00a0protection by looking at\u00a0the\u00a0dynamic operations of all Windows software installed in our environment, including our\u00a0own\u00a0homegrown software. We have found no other product that provides this level of protection.\u201d<\/p>\n
